Introducing Hidden Prayers

400 Prayers held inside tubular shaped beads.

Minkler's work explores the intersection of sacred ritual, human intention, and material presence, inviting viewers to experience the weight and grace of devotion suspended in the air. Through these suspended worlds, she elevates the personal with the universal, crafting moments of quiet contemplation with awe, wonder, surrender, and trust. Her practice is both bold and reverent, translating the unseen into tangible form, where prayer, material, and space converge.

Her work transforms space into vessels of reflection and devotion. She creates hanging sculptures of supersized prayer bead strands each containing hundreds of handwritten prayers, blending spiritual practice with sculptural form.

The Story Behind the Hidden Prayers Project

Where Prayers and Art  are Beautifully Intertwined

"Hidden Prayers" is a lively and colorful sculptural representation of supersized 3D prayer bead strands. The tubular-shaped beads hold space for 400 prayers that I wrote out, praying over my family, 10 prayers a day over 40 days.

"400 Hidden Prayers" is a vibrant sculptural embodiment of supersized 3D prayer bead strands. Each tubular bead holds space for one of the 400 handwritten prayers I prayed over my family—10 prayers a day, over forty days. This work is both a time capsule and a living vessel, carrying devotion, protection, and hope. Through the act of writing and releasing these prayers, I discovered that true peace—the kind that surpasses understanding—emerges only when I surrender fully and trust my higher source to hold everyone, everything, everywhere, all at once.

My use of vibrant color and graphic pattern design visually reflects the ever-changing, endlessly evolving dynamics of family life. The prayer beads serve as beacons of encouragement, hope-filled inspiration, and joyful anticipation, reminding me daily to receive whatever comes my way as a gift to be unwrapped and cherished.

With Gratitude,
